PC Port is Here!

After debuting footage of Final Fantasy VII Remake, Square Enix’s Tetsuya Nomura announced that the port is now available on Playstation Network. Until December 12, the price of the game will be $10.87, which is 32 percent off the price tag of $15.99. The same features from Steam’s version released in 2013 including character booster, increased audio and visual quality, and achievements. The PS4 port includes a new dashboard theme with sound effects of the original menu options from the classic game, as well as the “Special Movie,” which is the E3 Trailer.

Some, but not all, of the achievements can also be found in the Steam version of Final Fantasy VII. However, there are more than a few new ones that players will be unlocking for the first time once the game finally arrives, including trophies like “Failure IS an Option”, which requires for your whole party to fall in battle. There is also the “Best Bromance” achievement, which has players going on a date with Barret to the Gold Saucer.

Final Fantasy VII Is Coming To PlayStation 4, But This Is Not A Remake

Shinji Hashimoto stepped up to the stage at the PlayStation Experience keynote to announce that Final Fantasy VII will be re-released for PlayStation 4. Before you get too excited, it’s the PC version of Final Fantasy VII with upscaled graphics. This is *not* a remake though.

Final Fantasy VII for PlayStation 4 is scheduled for spring 2015.
